This was an absolutely wonderful weekend spending time with the family at my mom and dad's house. Simply put we had a very fun and relaxing time. All of us spent plenty of time swimming in the lake... even grandma! In 16 years of living on the lake she had never been in the water, but Cassie and Mackenzie were relentless at convincing her to jump in. And when she did jump in she went all out and executed a perfect cannonball. Everyone had a great time swimming, obviously seen by looking at all of the smiles. We also found time to play some ladderball (my dad was unbeatable), horseshoes (at least I redeemed myself here), and cribbage where the guys edged out the the girls by a few games. To make the weekend complete we sat around the campfire, roasted some marshmallows, and enjoyed some of my dad's world famous old fashioneds. A perfect weekend... the whole family can't wait to go back.
